Directions for Ordering Glass Hands
|
A Glass Hand is fun to make and a treasure to look at. It is made from
glass powders and a sheet of glass. You can make it in our studios
or send us your drawing and we will make it for you.
1. You will need: a pen, and 2-3 crayons, or colored pencils, or
marking pens and a 8 1/2 X 11 clean blank sheet of paper. The glass
is 8 X 10 so do not go clear to the edge of the paper.
2. Spread the child's fingers on the paper and keeping inside the
lines, carefully trace around the hand. An adult should do this not a
child. Make the fingers as true as possible.
3. Have the child write his/her name if he/she can and the year if you
wish. The letters should be about 1-1 1/2 inches high.
4. Choose no more than 3 colors and using the crayons, colored
pencils, or colored marking pens, decorate his/her hand. You can
put rings on, fingernail polish, etc. We will match our glass colors as
closely as possible with you colors.
5. If you wish to have more than one hand on a glass, trace each
hand on a separate piece of paper. Our artists will arrange them.
Each additional hand costs $5.
6. Write your return address on a paper and put your return address
and your colored paper into an envelope (it doesn't matter if it is
folded) and send paper to:
