Collage & Elements of Design
Experience elements of design such as
balance, radiation, texture and contrast
while exploring the visual impact of many
design elements through collage.  This is a
fun and freeing class for the older student.

After closely observing faces and bodies

Glass Blowing
Take glassblowing classes and become an
assistant and then a full blown blower.  Rates
decrease as you assist.

Hidden Treasures
Artists are well-known for using a wide
variety of materials in their work. Students
will learn a variety of connection
techniques and challenge their
imaginations to create assemblages and
mixed-media jewelry. Students are
encouraged to bring their own objects.  
Examples include buttons, game pieces,
marbles, old computer keys, small pieces
of hardware, fishing tackle, etc.

If you have any of these tools, please bring
them:  pliers, wire cutters, scissors, clear
1 minute epoxy, hammer, scissors,
punches, leather/metal stamping tools,
soldering iron

Kaleidoscope Wonder
This is an amazing class using art
techniques and science!  Learn the basics
of making a stained glass kaleidoscope
including how to cut, foil, and solder glass,
as well as develop and understand the
optical principles which create
multifaceted kaleidoscope images. Make a
beautiful gift or kaleidoscope for yourself.

Marbles
Marbles are so special to make.  The
variations are limitless.  This is a good
class for both men and women but men

Metal Smithing for Beaders
class includes a  kit, with an assortment of
wire, sheet, and tube, a bench block, a The

be incorporated as well as other mosaic

Painting—Beginning
Mix colors and learn about shadowing in

Glass Casting or Pate de Verre
Pate de Verre involves placing crushed
glass into a mold, then firing it. Pate de
Verre dates back to the ancient Egyptians,
but it really came into its own about a
century ago when it was revived by a
group of French artists who gave this
warm glass technique its current name.
