Kathleen Brown, MT-BC, BMEd, NMT
A Board Certified Music Therapist, Kathleen has been
involved in music all her life. It has taken her across the
country and around the world. One of the most exciting things
in her life was singing for the British Cancer Research
Campaign Fund in London's Royal Albert Hall, an opportunity
that presented itself because she is a breast cancer survivor.
Earning a bachelor Degree in Music Education, she sang
professionally for years and in 1996 began using her voice to
encourage others with challenges. Observing how music can
bring humans to laughter or tears, Kathleen vowed to learn
how to use music appropriately to make positive changes in
peoples' lives. She attended Sam Houston State University to
obtain her Equivalency in Music Therapy. She states, "It's a
joy to see how music can affect body, mind and spirit.
