Dr. Lynette Reed, DMin, our Salado Arts Workshop board president, is accomplished in many areas. She is an educator, consultant, and mentor with twenty-five years of experience working in the fields of community building, organizational learning, and sustainability. Her personal mission is to help people create stronger community through the integration of spirit, culture, and ethics.
Lynette holds a Doctor of Ministry in Spirituality, Sustainability, and Inter.Religious Dialogue, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Science in Communication Disorders, and a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She mentors individuals from a variety of organizations (schools, businesses, churches, allied.health care) to help them bring a little extra spirit into life.
Lynette works with both children and adults and has written the “What Is….” series of children’s books for Abingdon Press and curriculum with Cokesbury. She has authored several professional articles for a variety of magazines and journals, and has most recently co-authored a book chapter on the relationship between Spiritual Direction and Counseling for the American Counseling Association.
In addition, she is approved by the American Planning Association for training for the Ethics portion of credit for certification and by the Texas Education Agency for Continuing Education for School Board members.
