practicing artist and a seasoned teacher.  Graduating
from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of
Science in All Level Art Education in 1966, she taught
in elementary schools for nine years and also taught
children's classes privately from time to time.

Ms. Edwards has enhanced her college education
with numerous additional courses in drawing,
painting, and sculpture throughout her life.  Most
recently she studied under Jeep and Joseph
Kincannon, former carvers at St. John the Divine Cathedral, NYC.  Developing a
deep fondness for stone carving, her work is owned by people throughout Texas.
She has also fostered others in her chosen field of stone carving.

Sandra and artist husband, Lonnie Edwards met at TTU and moved to Salado 37
years ago.  They have raised four daughters there and presently have nine
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (They have all had art lessons.)
Sandra says, "It is a delight helping children discover their innate ability to create.
The joy of this discovery leads to greater and freer exploration and expression.
The art studio environment fosters children's growth by providing space, materials,
time and freedom to explore and grow as a whole person!"
